Journal entry
The most common mistake I see beginners make
It isn't the wrong indicator or the wrong coin. It's entering a trade without knowing where you're wrong.
I get the same question in different words almost every week: “Where do I enter?” It's the wrong first question, and I asked it for a long time too.
Entering because price is moving
A green candle feels like information. It's an invitation, and the market sends thousands of them a day. When I traded without a plan, I said yes to most of them.
The result wasn't one big disaster. It was a pile of small, unexplainable decisions. When I read that journal now, I can't tell why I took half of those trades. That's the real problem: nothing to learn from.
The fix is boring
Before any order, I now answer three questions on paper: Why here? Where am I wrong? How much do I lose if I'm wrong?
If the second answer is “I'll see”, I don't trade. That one rule removed more bad trades than any indicator I've tried.
Try it this week
Don't change your strategy. Just write the invalidation level before each entry, and check later whether you respected it. You'll learn more about yourself than about the market, and that's the point.
